Gas Leaks If you think you can smell gas, then turn off the gas supply immediately
If you think you can smell gas, then turn off the gas supply immediately at the emergency control valve (ECV) adjacent to the gas meter, and open all doors and windows to ventilate the property.
Do not light a cigarette, nor must you operate light switches, sockets or intercoms etc .
If the ECV is stuck, then telephone the emergency number 0800 111999 immediately to seek assistance.
